The waterfall portraits

“The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul.” - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

For me as an artist and photographer, it is of essence to have my own creative and personal projects. I feel they are so important for my growth and my inspiration. These projects can drag me out of a creative rut that I might be stuck in, and can give me a chance to really push myself creatively.

For a long time, I have been wanting to go to this magnificent waterfall that is close to our home, to take some self portraits. And at the end om may, the ice had finally melted, so I brought my husband and son with me to go check it out. The waterfall was much bigger the anticipated, and it was so wet and slippery, so I was getting worried about my camera and equipment. As I said, I had actually planned this shoot as a self portrait session, but to save my gear from getting soaked my husband stepped in as a photographer. Thank you my love for always supporting me and making this possible! Hope you enjoy these images as much as I do! :)
